Great off grid cabin. The shower handle was hard to turn on, but the host was able to help us. Also, it should he advertised as having almost no electricity as the electricity is extremely limited. People should expect not to have much at all when staying here. Other than those things, it was an extremely wonderful stay.

Location was beautiful, hosts were very nice, but the cabin power was not good. There were issues that we discussed with the host. The description on initial search was in no way accurate.

This cabin is very cute and remote, however, it’s not what it’s seems. Because it’s solar, the power only worked for a very short time and it took the power grid a bit to recharge. .

I don’t like giving bad reviews, but I think people need a heads up before booking this site. It’s off grid on a ranching property, so it’s understandable that there would be critters. However the host should go in before guests arrive to clear out dead mice and mice droppings so guests shouldn’t have to. There was a stink in the cabin because some of the mice had been sitting inside for a while. To check in, there is only a 1 hour window and Someone has to escort you to the cabin. This is pretty inflexible. And if you can’t make it before 6 pm, then you’re pretty much screwed. The check in instructions to find the office were old and the “signposts” to find the office were outdated. Someone had to chase us down to take us to the cabin. The cabin had no cell service and no WiFi. And to reach someone, you had to drive 20-minutes down to the entrance to get any service or talk to anyone. This would have been fine if someone informed us of all the quirks of the site when we arrived. Instead, we had to either drive or wait for the next day to ask someone about our questions. We couldn’t turn on the shower. We were informed the next day that you had to pull on the shower head and faucet simultaneously. Sometimes lights wouldn’t turn on or would flicker uncontrollably, fortunately we caught that one during daylight so we drove down to ask them about it. The solution? Turn on multiple lights. Having some info upfront would have saved us some hassle. For the price? Not worth it.
